The Maxus II is sleeker for a smoother swing and more intuitive pointing. Maxus II is a gas-operated shotgun utilizing the Browning Power Drive gas systems. This shotgun is currently available in 12 gauge only. The barrels of Browning Maxus II shotgun have chrome-lined bores and chambers, are threaded for choke tubes, and have 1/4″ ventilated ribs fitted with fiber-optic front sights and ivory mid-beads. The stock cast, drop and length of pull are shim-adjustable. The lightened tubular magazine has a capacity of four 2-3/4″ shells. The bolt, bolt slide, shell carrier, bolt release and bolt handle are Nickel Teflon coated. Maxus II shotguns also feature the fast Lightning Trigger System, Speed Load Plus system that automatically chambers the first round loaded into the magazine tube, a magazine cut-off, and Browning’s Total Barrel Dynamics technology that includes a lengthened forcing cone and back-bored bore.
